Norweg - nice and homeless |
![]() |
We call him Norweg (in Polish -
Norwegian) because he is similar to Norwegian Forest cats, with medium-length fur,
so-called Blue Smoke. Age unknown, male, rather big. Exceptionally calm; other 'outdoor' cats do not tolerate him. His friend is Teodor. He is homeless (in the past we believed that he used to be an 'indoor' cat). He treats us as 'McDonald's of the cats world': comes to us for meals. He is still not trustful but he allows us to come closer and closer. It happened once that he stepped into our home, looked around and withdrew. |
| Sometimes Norweg enjoys naps on
our terrace - but it also happens that he is absent for a whole week. He often awaits Teodor in front of the terrace door (in the morning). When we let Teodor out, they greet each other in a typical cats' way (nose to nose). And they go for a walk together. EPILOGUE: the end of 1998 was very difficult for Norweg. In November he suffered from (probably) pneumonia. We managed to heal him using antibiotics hidden in fish. When he was almost OK., in December he came with a broken leg – and he did not allow us to help him, though he had more and more problems with walking. Last time he visited us on 1 January, and today he is certainly in the Cats’ Land of Eternal Hunting. Goodbye Norweg, you are with us at least on these pictures. |
